On 20th March the Safer Neighbourhood Team came into school to talk to us about keeping safe in our local community. This assembly is part of our PSHE unit, keeping safe. We also thought about how it links with our school values, British values and our children's rights.
We found out about their job roles and how they keep us safe. We explored their uniform and some of the equipment they have to keep themselves safe. We even got to try on their hats and helmets!
Road Safety
We discussed how we can keep safe by roads, when walking or driving to school, including crossing the road safely, wear a seat belt in the car or to sit in a carseat/booster seat.
Stranger Danger
Together we came up with ways to keep safe within the local environment and online.
- Not to talk to strangers in the street or online
- If you are worried talk to your parent, carer or teacher
- Never share your personal details
